District Accountability Committee

District Advisory Committee Membership  and Responsibilities 2024-2025

DAC Legal References:  C.R.S 22-11-301 to 22-11-306, 22-11-401 (4)(c)

Membership Requirements:  The council shall include, at minimum, three parents of students enrolled in the school, one teacher, one administrator, and one person involved in business or industry in the community.  Appointed parents should reflect the demographics of the school district and the parent group shall be the largest group.  Some positions may remain unfilled if good faith efforts have been made to recruit parents, but said efforts have been unsuccessful. 

Purpose:  To make recommendations to the local school board regarding budget, Unified Improvement Plan, charter school applications, assessment tools, evaluation process for principals, school district code of conduct, and parent engagement/involvement.

Additional Charges from the Meeker School District Board of Education for 2024-2025

  • The District Advisory Committee will also serve as the building/school accountability committees

  • The District Advisory Committee will revise and monitor the Meeker School District Strategic Vision

  • The District Advisory Committee, with additional membership, shall serve as the district wellness committee

  • The District Advisory Committee will serve as the district 1338 Council

  • The District Advisory Committee will engage efforts to collect information from the community regarding perceptions of the Meeker School District

Naomi Etchart:  Teacher - (Co-secretary - Term two ending in 24-25)

Mindy Finley:  Resident involved in business or industry - (Co-secretary - Term four ending in 24-25)

Mary Strang:  Resident involved in business or industry

Robert Amick:  Resident involved in business or industry

Tom Allen:  School Board Member

Chris Selle:  Administrator
